Raymond Lam admitted to hospital

Raymond Lam who has been busy with filming was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He was accompanied by his father to receive further treatment. The doctor diagnosed that he has cervical displacement. His bones were protruding his nerves, therefore he needed to stay in the hospital to get a detailed check-up. Because of this, he also missed the selection for Jade Solid Gold.

After his concert, Raymond has been working non-stop. Recently, he's collaborating with Charmaine Sheh to film their new series, "Colorful World of Sister Fa". Maybe it was because previously when he was training in his dance, he was hurt but did not receive proper treatment, and he overworked himself, finally his body could not take it. Raymond felt dizzy when he got up but he still wanted to continue working. At about noon, he couldn't move his neck and was sent to hospital, accompanied by his father.

Doctor said that Raymond has cervical displacement, causing his bones protruding his nerves, therefore it affected his neck's movements. Doctor advised him to stay in the hospital for further observation for 2 days. He was supposed to attend selection for Jade Solid Gold and was expected to get 1 and a half awards. In the end, he had to miss the event. An executive revealed that Raymond was injured and expressed that he's resting in the hospital now. The inital plan for him to duet live with Ah Sa had to be canceled. However, during the show, Raymond who was bedridden talked about his condition through the phone, he said, " I'm sorry I couldn't make it to come, but now my neck can move a little bit, maybe because recently my work has affected my old injury, I promise everyone that I'll recover soon."

Fahrenheit is all you can touch for $22

Following the footsteps of Jpop and Kpop idols, Fahrenheit held a paid event at the National Taiwan University Sports Center. Fans shelled out NT$700 (~$22 US) to attend their autographing and mini concert. Many fans felt that it was a little pricey, but to compensate, Fahrenheit joked, “Today is 'all you can touch.' You’ve paid $700, so it’s time for you to ‘touch’ it all back!”

The venue was filled with 2000 fan girls excited to see their idols. When Fahrenheit performed their latest single, “Super Hot”, they ensured hotness by satisfying fans with full nipple glory. Four lucky fans also got to interact with the Fahrenheit members on stage and “touch all they want.” However, Wu Chun’s fan was rather shy and kept her hands inches away. Calvin Chen couldn’t stand watching them any longer and decided to hold the fan’s hand and directly put it on Wu Chun’s chest, which caused all the other fans to scream.

Van Ness Wu saves the "Queen"

Next Media’s first ever drama “拜金女王” (roughly translates to "Material Queen") was without any male lead after Jerry Yan dropped out. Luckily they are back on track with Van Ness Wu signing onto the drama. It will reunite him with Autumn’s Concerto producer Chen Yu Shan and director Chen Hui Ling after their hugely successful collaboration last year. Most stars tend to be wary of replacing another in existing projects, but Van Ness Wu doesn’t seem to have this problem -- He almost replaced Vic Chou in the movie “The Killer Never Kills” before withdrawing due to scheduling conflicts.

Van Ness Wu was recording his album in Japan when producer Chen contacted him. He returned to Taiwan to finalize the agreement right away, and met with the drama’s stylist Patricia Field (from “Sex and the City”). In addition to growing out his hair, Van Ness Wu will also be taking French and violin lessons for his role. His costar Lynn Xiong will play an orphan-turned-materialistic model in the title character. Her height is reportedly 178 cm so the 180 cm tall Van Ness might experience a bad case of "Donnie Yen" if she wears in stilettos. Material Queen expects to begin filming at the end of September.

Jolin Tsai shows her princess air

It seems that Princess Jolin has ruffled some feathers.

In the filming of China's variety programme Hua Ren Da Zong Yi recently, the mando pop princess's manager had apparently made so many requirements, that it had infuriated the show's host, Cao Ke Fan.

The special requests were namely; no broadcasting of Jay Chou's songs, no mentioning of the "Double J" relationship and no sharing of stage with other artistes.

The arrogance showed by Jolin's management resulted in a disgruntled host, who went on to express his discontentment online.

"Even the managers of fellow veteran celebrities, like Frankie Kao, Bai Lang, Tian Li and Lin Zi Cong, went along with the program's flow. On what grounds does Jolin's management have to make us accede to their demands?" an angry Cao wrote.

The matter was brought up once again in a newer episode of the show, where Cao explained that it would have been a win-win situation for both the programme and Jolin had the singer co-operate.

He revealed that Jolin's manager even wanted to interrupt Frankie Kao's performance when he was singing Nunchuks (Jay Chou's song) on stage.

Fahrenheit admits to kissing each other

Rest assure fans, your pretty boys are not homosexuals.

On a recent episode of Taiwanese variety show, SS Xiao Yan's Night, the four member band made a surprising revelation that they had shared smooches amongst themselves.

"We'd get nervous when kissing our co-actresses, hence, we practice by kissing with each other!" explained Aaron Yan.

Singing aside, the members of Fahrenheit have all been involved in various acting projects, many of which were collaborations with beautiful idol drama actresses.

So did Wu Chun feel anything special when kissing Ariel Lin, whom he had earlier collaborated with in Tokyo Juliet?

"That was my first ever kissing scene and she helped me a lot," the reserved Wu Chun replied, averting the question.

On the other hand, Aaron Yan, who is the youngest of the group, named his Patty Hou as his most memorable on screen kiss.

But the title of "champion kisser" undoubtedly went to Jiro Wang.

Jay Chou takes flight with “Hip-Hop Stewardess”

Forget about J-girls, the President himself has a new music video on the way that promises hotness overload! “Hip-Hop Stewardess (嘻哈空姐)” is the latest track from Jay Chou's “The Era” album to be made into a music video. The song title sounds rather innocent compared to its racy lyrics from his long-time collaborator Vincent Fang. It will definitely make a lot of people wish their painfully long flights can be this sexy.

Unfortunately, “Hip-Hop Stewardess” was left off of the mainland edition of his album because it failed to meet local censorship standards. Although the song won't be officially promoted, a generous budget of $1.3 million NTD was spent on filming the video. It will be included in a future DVD release along with other MV’s from the album.

Ariel Lin is the spokesperson for the 45th annual Golden Bell Awards

It’s the first time ever for Golden Bell Awards to have a spokesperson. They chose no other but Ariel Lin, who won best actress at the 43rd annual Golden Bell Awards.

She appeared at the press conference elegantly and revealed the show’s stage for the big night, which costs six million dollars (NT) to make. She complimented, “Wow! The stage is so pretty. It’s very dreamy and it’s equipped with great audio and lighting.” She then cleverly pointed out the main focus for Golden Bell, “The video broadcast will be further enhanced to deliver the best image and audio (to the audience).” – the GIO (Government Information Office) and TTV have decided to delay the feed in order to stabilize the quality of the broadcast (besides video quality, there’s also speech quality, as well as keeping dull presenters and unfunny skits under control).

The nominations for radio broadcasting will be revealed on September 14th, while the nominations for Television broadcasting will be announced on September 20th. The radio broadcasting award ceremony will be held on October 15th, and the Television broadcasting award ceremony will be held on October 22nd. Ariel will also be announcing the nominees of television broadcasting.

TVXQ credited with success of K-Pop girl groups in Japan

With the recent success of K-Pop girl groups in Japan, including 4minute, KARA and SNSD, prestigious Japanese ranking chart, Oricon, released an article stating that TVXQ/Tohoshinki is the main reason for their success.

An Oricon columnist stated, “Tohoshinki is responsible for the success of girl groups’ who are representing K-Pop in Japan. With the feeling of loss, due to Tohoshinki’s suspended activities, it seems that fans in their teens and twenties are focusing their attention on the K-Pop girl groups.”

In addition, the columnist added, “If this wasn’t the case, these girl groups would never have been able to instantly sell 30,000 copies or have 20,000 fans attend their events.”

Jessie Chiang makes a comeback without Jay Chou

We thought she would be gone already, but former J-girl Jessie Chiang (江語晨) is returning with her second album on September 10th. Coincidentally, she will be battling current releases from Jolin Tsai and Hebe Tian, whose names have also been attached to Jay Chou in the past. It remains to be seen how Jessie Chiang will fair in terms of sales, but she will have to do it without his help.

Jessie Chiang's first album was the center of media attention while she was the J-girl in 2008. There were even rumors of Jay Chou writing several songs for her under a different name. She went on to play the female lead in his first drama "Pandamen". But a lot has changed since then, most noticeably her complete absence from the Pandamen promotions earlier this year.
